Kensington Villa Roof & Floor 3D
In early October E & H Baxendale Ltd supplied a complete easi-joist floor and roof package for the prestigous Villas at Kensington Developments Lytham Quays development. To date we have supplied a total of 4 easi-joist floor and roof packages for the development.
Today Kensington Developments placed an order for a further 2 Villas (out of a total of 16 on the site) to be delivered over the next month or so. Each villa contains approximately 100 joists each as well as a large number of roof trusses and infill timbers.
easi-joist is a metal web floor system designed for engineered floor applications and boasts quality performance, ease of use and design versatility. The open web system ensures there is no need to notch or drill for services. easi-joist was the first metal web floor system to have gained Robust Detail Approval, Irish Agrément Board Certification and European Technical Approval.
Today we received a visit from Granada Reports, they interviewed Joanne about how the credit crunch is affecting business. Although overall production is down compared with last year we are continuing to receive large orders such as the Villas at Kensigton Developments Lytham Quays development.
Normaly when a customer requests that their order is treated we pick the timber and send it to C & W Berry Ltd to be treated with Protim Aqeos a water-based microemulsion preservative which is a dual purpose fungicidal and insecticidal formula.
Unfortuately the treatment tank at C & W Berry Ltd has broken down and needs replacing so we have taken the decison to prevent any delays by sending timber requiring treatment to Arch Timber Protection near Preston.
Timber treated by Arch Timber Protection has been low pressure impregnated with VACSOL AQUA preservative, a waterborne product containing biodegradable fungicides and insecticides, unlike the treatment used by C & W Berry it has a pale yellow colourant added to aid identification of treatment.
Treatment of timber takes only a few days depending on the size of the job and timber being in stock, so if you require your order treating please place your order as soon as possible.
