Delivery Schedule Update

Delivery Calendar

Our delivery/collection schedule operates on a week commencing basis, if you were to place an order today the following dates are the earliest your order would be available for delivery/collection.

Trussed rafter (roof truss) orders for delivery/collection on week commencing Monday 27th May and easi-joist® (Posi-Joist™, SpaceJoist™, Ecojoist®) orders for delivery/collection on week commencing Monday 27th May.

As always terms and conditions apply, the main one being that you have confirmed the sizes are correct and that your payment has cleared before an order can be manufactured and delivered. Payment can be made by one of the following methods:

  • Debit card (No surcharges) in person or over the phone (Delivery usually around 5 working days)
  • Mastercard Personal - Credit card (surcharge of up to 2.09% applies) in person or over the phone (Delivery usually around 5 working days)
  • Visa Personal - Credit card (surcharge of up to 2.09% applies) in person or over the phone (Delivery usually around 5 working days)
  • Mastercard/Visa Business - Credit card (surcharge of up to 2.09% applies) in person or over the phone (Delivery usually around 5 working days)
  • Cash in person (Delivery usually around 5 working days)
  • Cheque through the post or in person (Can take 5 working days to clear so delivery is usually around 10 working days)
  • Bank transfer (Can take 3 working days to clear so delivery is usually around 5 working days)

The reason we apply a surcharge to credit card transactions is to cover the cost of the commission charges that we have to pay to our credit card terminal provider for those payments made by credit card. For example if a trussed rafter roof package costs £5000.00 and the commission charge is 2.09% we would have to pay the terminal company £104.50, for that one job it may not sound like a lot but when we are supplying hundreds of roof & floor packages that total soon adds up. It is for that reason that we recommend using other payment methods for which Customers are not charged for making payment by such as bank transfer, cheque or debit card.

You can place an enquiry using one of the methods below:

easi-joist sizes and prices

Today we have updated the easi-joist section of our website to combine most of the information onto just the main page, rather than having half a dozen, which should now make it easier to find the information you are looking for. To make room for all this information on just the one page we have introduced a new full width page template which has done away with the sidebar, which only contained our twitter feed anyway, so that's no great loss.

In the coming months Wolf System Ltd will be producing technical information regarding the use of easi-joist as a stud wall in timber frame construction, as soon as that is released I will add it to the easi-joist Walls section of the easi-joist page.

The one thing that everyone hopes to find is an easi-joist price list, unfortunately we are unable to produce one, that's because easi-joist is available in multiple lengths, widths, depths and internal web configurations, as well as with multiple end support conditions, so producing a list that is easy to read and understand is near impossible. It is for these reasons that we have put together an online easi-joist enquiry form, which will allow you to enter multiple joist lengths and quantities and once we have received it we will send you the quotation as soon as possible.

Postal Strikes

We have now heard that the postal strikes scheduled for Friday 6th and Monday 9th November have been called off and that there will be no more strikes until in the new year if at all.

Although the strikes have been called off we are still asking customers to pay by debit card or bank transfer when ever possible to reduce any possible delays in proceeding with an order especially in the run up to Christmas.

We have also been considering emailing quotations and invoices whenever possible to reduce the delay in customers reciving them.

Debit Card Machine Installed

It’s taken a few months but our new debit card machine was installed an hour ago, so any orders placed from today can be paid for using your debit card, this will mean we will process your order straight away so your order should be delivered quicker.

Quotation Acceptance

So you have placed an enquiry with us for trussed rafters and/or easi-joist and we have given you a quotation, What Next.  If you are happy with the quotation you have received and no changes are required to the specification then we need you to confirm in writing that the dimensions used to produce the design are accurate and that you wish to place an order, up until now this had to be done either in person, through the post or via a fax, but not anymore you can now place an order online.

By visiting www.eandhbaxendale.com/place-order.php you can confirm that the dimensions used to produce the design are accurate and place an order with us telling us when and where you would like your order delivering and how you will be paying for it.  Another useful feature of this new form is that it allows you to confirm to us the dimensions for stairs in floor designs, the stairs and stairwell opening are critical in a floor design, if we don’t have accurate measurements we can’t guarantee that the joists will work.

We are also working to make it even easier for you to pay for your order, we now have debit card facilities installed any order paid for using a debit card will be treated just the same as an order paid for by cash and so should mean your order will be processed and delivered quicker than if you were to pay by cheque which can take up to five days to clear.
