Yesterday I updated the easi-joist span table on the easi-joist Sizes page by adding the maximum spans for 195mm deep WS200 easi-joist when designed using standard Domestic & Partition loads, today I have added the maximum spans for easi-joist when designed using Robust Detail E-FT-3 loads. Over the coming months I hope to expand the span table even further to include Office loads, Storage loads, and possibly some flat roof loads.

I have now added the maximum spans for easi-joist when designed for use as a Flat roof.
Today we manufactured five pitched easi-joist roof joists for a project in Cortijo in Almeria, Spain. The joists are to support an existing roof comprising bound bamboo reed, lime cement and Spanish tiles, they will bolted through specially extended web posts at each end of the joist into the existing 600mm thick stone walls. Many more joists will be required but we are only supplying five to start with to test what they are like for fitting and if the sizes need any adjusting to compensate for variations in the stone walls.
Between the two stone walls the joist has a horizontal span of 3500mm with a 24° pitch forming a slope that is about 3830mm long, using a WS200 web creating a 219mm deep joist 97mm wide in 47mm timber.
